[VC Walcot] Membership Discounts for 2012/13 Card Holders and Other News

Morning All,
Membership DiscountsDuring the last couple of weeks I've been working with the local bike shops to re-confirm our club discounts with them and also make them aware of the new club membership cards that are being issued when subs are paid for 2012/13. I've updated the 'Membership' section http://www.vc-walcot.com/MembFAQs on the website to show what has been agreed with the shops. Some of you will have a membership card already. For those who have paid but don't have one, I will be sending them out today in the post.
Current membership for 2011/12 expires on Sat 31st March. A 2012/13 membership form can be downloaded from the link above. Please follow the instructions on the form with regards to payment. Overall numbers are already improved on 2011/12 which is a real bonus. The Sunday Group Rides are reflecting this positive change too.
Some other discounts for you to think about....Bike Bath have offered a 20% discount (code = VELOWC) to the club. The discount is only valid if we first enter a team and then all team members will benefit from the discount to the events entered. To my knowledge only one person from the club has entered any of rides. If somebody is willing to coordinate this and put a team together then please get in contact and I will get more details from Stuart at Bike Bath.
British Cycling DiscountsThe club has been sent the following online codes which are applicable to all club members:NEWCMRA = £13.50 off any new Race membership (this essentially makes it free if only applying for Bronze level)NEWCMRD = 50% discount off any new Ride membership
If you haven't been a BC member before this is a great little discount to get you started. I have a bunch of forms at home as well if you don't want to apply online. Drop me an email and I can pop one in the post. 
Castle Come Evening SessionsBath Amphibians have invited the club to join them on their rides up to Castle Combe every Tuesday when the track is open. The first session is next Tuesday and they will meet at the bottom of Bathwick Hill to leave promptly at 5-30pm.
