Small but happy turn out last night, Abi, Dan, Dave and Kevin; after a brief chat we thought we would head out towards Wellow for a change as we had not ridden it for quite some time. So off we headed, usual route out of Bath up the Wellsway, Kevin heading up the front on a very creeky 'Spesh'. Instead of heading down towards Whiteoxmead we kept straight on to come out at the Wheatsheaf then across very wet bits, just as well it's summer as we all had soaked feet, to Twinhoe and over the fields through Twinhoeford Woods to bring us up at Hinton Charterhouse. For a change we then headed straight across on to Branch Road, followed by a quick dash along the A36 to get to Pipehouse. Oddly Pipehouse was the only dry decent of the night, fast and gravely, they appear to have put even more stone down. After that it was the long slog up Old Midford Road. As we were a little early we thought we would get in a uni descent, so with big Dave at the front we headed off along Sheppard's Walk to pop out near Rainbow Woods, quick lap of the woods and off to play on the steps at the uni, all good fun until Abi almost had a nasty fall. So quitting while we were still alive we got in the uni and headed back to the Pig for a well earned drink. Last ride for Dan for a while as he's heading off for a years work placement.
