Thanks Laurie

That's great. As a father of 3 kids I am
very keen to help develop a cycling club catering for children - there is nothing in Bath that I am aware of? Any thoughts on this?

Jon and I have been working for some time on this, especially Jon who has been involved at the planning stage for the track with British Cycling. Jon is also a committee member of the Hub Club which represents the interested parties at Odd Down playing fields. This is a big deal for cycling in Bath and naturally we have been happy to be involved and consulted.

After I posted an article on our website last Monday and a subsequent posting by Road.cc on theirs plus a little Twitter campaign we have significantly boosted the number of support comments. Beyond this Jon is working with the other sports clubs to ensure that Sport England (a vital component in terms of success) is satisfied with a number of issues it has raised. We have also written in support of the project on behalf of the club. See below:

The track represents a longer term vision for Odd Down playing fields which includes a revamped club house, 5-a-side football pitches along with the sports that are currently played there.
