[VC Walcot] Low in hospital after crash

Low Smith took a bit of a tumble toward the end of today's club ride
and spent the afternoon in RUH.

She hit a pothole on the A39 and went over the bars, losing
consciousness briefly and sustaining cuts and bruises to her face and
shoulder. She was taken by ambulance to RUH.

As of this evening she was awake and lucid, but has no memory of the
crash. After examining her and doing a CT scan, the doctors decided to
keep her in RUH for observation for the next 48 hours, but stressed
this was a precaution and they are confident she will make a full
recovery.

Those of you who know Low well will realise that being cooped up for
48 hours will drive her buggy, so anyone who can pop in, please do so,
she'd love to see you.

To everyone: be careful out there. The roads are trashed after the
cold weather and there are new holes appearing everywhere, in some
cases with water flowing over them making them practically invisible.
It was a dumb luck that Sam Eaton and I didn't hit the same hole.
