[VC Walcot] Bath Crits - Victoria Park - May 2011

Firstly apologies for the delay in getting this email out.

 

As previously emailed it has now been confirmed that there will be series of
Criterion style races in Victoria Park on Wednesday nights through May.
Races will start at 18:45.

 

The race programme will look something like:

 

6:45 - 19:00 - Youth A/B)

 

19:05 - 19:25 - Cat 3/4

 

19:30 - 19:50 - Women

 

19:55 - 20:25 - E/1/2

 

The races are being kept short to make it more challenging (faster) and also
to make it more interesting for spectators, it should make for a great
spectacle.  Each set of races will contribute to the entire series with
prizes being given for the series (by category) at the end of May.

 

The races are being hosted by Bath Council with support from British Cycling
and local cycling clubs, including:

 

Cadence

Somer Valley

Avonlea

VC Walcot

Bath CC

 

Each of the races will be organised by one of the clubs listed above, with
the exception of Cadence and VC Walcot who will work together.  Walcot and
Cadence will be organising the 3rd race in the series.

 

Many thanks to those of you who offered to support the races.  All the clubs
above and some others will be providing Marshals for the races, as
organisation progresses more details will be finalised for those supporting
the races.  I suspect that marshals will be required from approx 17:15/17:30
to allow briefing prior to the start of the races, again more details to
follow.
