Hi Joe (and Matt),

Yep, there's a group of us who ride every Weds night from the gravel 'island' between the two pedestrian crossings at the end of the High St (it's actually Claverton St). 6.25 for a 6.30 getaway.

At the moment though we are generally doing a 'lanes' ride - its just so claggy/muddy!!! (I know!!)

We ride for about 3 hours. Sometimes end up at a pub (so bring a fiver for the kitty).

Pace is 'social' so no-one gets left behind but you'll need to be reasonable fit (as you might expect in Bath there are hills!)

There's a Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/BathMTBGroup/

And an email list, just email 'subscribe' to bathmtb at mtb-oz.com

We organise the odd 'away day' and share lifts etc. (We're planning to get down to Cwm Carn to ride the new XC loop in the next few weeks and we're planning an all-day 'Trans Mendips' ride, probably in May).

We're not a 'club' - just a bunch of mates who ride - so there's no 'membership' or anything. Some of us are members of the local Clubs as well - VC Walcot and Bath CC.

No 'rules' either but wear a helmet, bring a spare tube, a bottle and some food.

Hope that all helps! Hope to see you out sometime,

Cheers

Andy

Hi

I got your details off the 'feel good bath' website which suggested you organise mountain bike rides on Wednesday evenings starting in widcombe. I am a novice rider and am looking to find out a bit more about what/where you go.

I've also copied in my friend Matt as he may be interested.

Many thanks
Joe.
