BathMTB: Hot summer nights

Well what a killer of a ride, only Kevin, Justin and Chris showed; maybe
something to do with the weather who knows? With more very heavy rain due
any moment. After waiting for Dave we rang him only to find he was still at
home with a broken shoe. So we headed up to meet him hoping to give him time
to sort it. Kevin had yet another road rage attack on Greenway Lane after
some silly old $od beeped his horn and started waving his arms because he
couldn't get past.

Out on to Wells Way Kevin was suffering after 3 weeks of no riding and a
slow puncture; we pushed on to Dave's hoping the air would last.

Arrived at Dave's to find him shoeless, Kevin sorted his tyre and the rain
started, at this point Dave changed to his backup bike with flat pedals. By
now it was 7.30 and pouring with rain so we shot off to the Packhorse to
shelter and......erm well that's as far as we got, we spent the rest of the
evening sat round a log fire drinking beer, tea and eating chips. Surely
crappy evenings were supposed to spent doing this. I left at 9 I suspect
Dave, Chris and Justin were kicked out at closing time.

Kevin

Looking like I'm going to be stuck at work - will aim to meet you at The
Packhorse if that's where you're heading?
